Photos that freeze while developing on Pixel 10
Since 0.8.7 a frozen photo no longer holds up the others. A fix for the freeze itself is being tested.
Instant RAW recordings that stop early
Some takes stop and say storage is almost full when there is plenty left. The cause is found and the fix is being tested.
A quarter of each photo comes out black on Realme GT 7T
Photos are full size, but a band along one edge, about a quarter of the picture, is black.
Ultra-wide and telephoto on Motorola Edge 2025
The phone hides these lenses from apps. Run Settings › Diagnostics › Extra checks › Check the cameras once (and again after a system update), and Mereframe can use them.

Soft photos on Galaxy S26 Ultra
Fixed: at 1x, photos keep the focus the viewfinder had. At 5x, they come from the lens the viewfinder was showing.
A RAW file with every photo
On the free plan, each photo now keeps a RAW (DNG) of the moment you pressed the shutter. Pro keeps the RAW merged from the whole burst. Keep source frames, in Settings › Advanced, and Export complete photo bundle are free for everyone too.
The camera remembers your settings
Frame rate, manual dials, flash and the front camera stay as you left them, even after a reinstall.
Still happening on your phone?
Say so on Discord with your phone’s model, or send a report from the app in Settings › Diagnostics. Some problems happen only on certain phones, and a report from yours is often the only way to find them.

- Changed The Instant video mode is now called Instant RAW: it records from the camera’s RAW and develops the video while you film, so it’s ready when you stop.
- Improved On the free plan, Processed and Instant RAW videos no longer stop at 10 seconds. The limit is now only on RAW and Log video.
- New The viewfinder shows the look you pick, so you see it before you take the photo.
- Changed Photos keep their natural grain: the extra noise reduction and sharpening are gone. For a smoother look, turn up Merge smoothing in Settings › Photo processing.
- Fixed Pixel 10: 5x now uses the telephoto lens instead of cropping the main camera, and the zoom buttons read 0.5x, 1x and 5x, as Google labels them.
- Fixed Motorola Edge 2025 and other phones whose lenses work as separate cameras: telephoto and ultra-wide photos keep the framing the viewfinder showed.
- New Settings now ends with About Mereframe: what’s new, help, privacy and the open-source licences.
- Fixed The Gallery no longer closes the app while its photos load (seen on a Pixel 10), and Export DNG sequence works again.

- New Mereframe now speaks 15 more languages: Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Hindi and Indonesian. On Android 13 and up you can pick its language on its own.
- Fixed The app no longer closes as soon as it opens on some phones (seen on a Pixel 8 Pro with Android 17 and a Galaxy S23).
- Fixed The Pro price is no longer cut off in Settings, where €14.99 could read as €1.
- Fixed Long prices and longer words now wrap instead of being cut off.
